Massachusetts Viola Society Announces
Winners of the First Competition for Young Viola Soloists

Thank you to everyone who participated in MassViola’s Competition for Young Viola Soloists. We are truly grateful for the dedication, artistry, and effort each participant brought to this event. All participants demonstrated a high level of musicianship, and we look forward to supporting their future endeavors. We would also like to recognize our younger contestants for their hard work and preparation - bravo to you all!

After careful consideration, we are pleased to announce this year’s winners:

First Prize: Dylan Cohen

Second Prize: Bram Fisher

Third Prize: Jayna Leach

We extend a special congratulations to First Prize winner, Dylan Cohen, who will have the honor of performing as a soloist with the Apollo Ensemble of Boston on Saturday, March 29, 2025.

This competition was made possible through the support and hard work of our talented participants, dedicated panel of judges, the staff at Community Music Center, and the Massachusetts Viola Society board members. We look forward to continuing to support young violists in their artistic growth.
